Learn, build, and connect.
From your first app to the broader world of AI.

In person

We collaborate with event organizers for major summits in relation to AI and app development to lead student initiatives, hands-on workshops, and project showcases. Our members also meet at major competitions and leading AI conferences to exchange ideas and share their work.

K–12 AI Initiative

In collaboration with the GenAI & AGI Summit organizers, App-In Club hosts the K–12 AI Initiative. We lead workshops, lectures, and student poster sessions that give students the opportunity to learn from and connect with industry leaders in AI.

MIT Global Appathon & education summit

App-In Club is an official partner of the App Inventor Foundation. We introduce students across the United States and around the world to the Global Appathon competition, and lead online app development workshops to help them prepare for the competition.

At the annual MIT AI & Education Summit (now the MIT App Inventor Global Education Summit), our officers have the opportunity to volunteer alongside the MIT App Inventor team, supporting logistics, workshops, and student activities.

Online

App-In Club brings students together through free online workshops, speaker series, lectures, and crash courses in AI and app development. From hands-on sessions to conversations with guest speakers across disciplines, our events help students build practical skills, exchange ideas, and take their next steps as creators.

App-In Club Open Learning Community

At App-In Club, we believe learning how to learn is one of the most important skills in a world shaped by AI. The internet and thoughtful use of AI put almost any subject within reach. Exploring questions, testing ideas, and working through problems independently help students develop the intuition and confidence to keep learning.

Our Open Learning Community offers a starting point for members new to app development and AI. Hosted on Google Classroom, it brings together learning materials and practical resources to help students explore, build, and progress at their own pace.

AIRC with Ryquo

AI research and competitions

Our collaboration with Ryquo Education connects students with AI research and competition preparation. Through AIRC, students build a strong foundation in AI, learn to design experiments, and develop projects and research of their own.

Ryquo’s curriculum is developed by researchers working in AI and human–computer interaction labs and refined over years of experience. Courses are taught by instructors who excel in their fields. This approach shares App-In Club’s emphasis on intuition and ownership: understanding the ideas behind the work and taking the lead in shaping it.

Ryquo Labs AIRC 001 — Discover. Enter the world of AI. Build something of your own.
Ryquo Labs AIRC 101 — Foundations. Understand what makes AI work. Develop a researcher’s way of thinking.
Ryquo Labs AIRC 201 — Toolkit. Put ideas to the test. Build with a researcher’s rigor.
