GLOBAL AI HACKATHON

The Global AI Hackathon is a free, virtual hackathon hosted by MIT RAISE and the App Inventor Foundation that encourages people around the world to build AI apps for a cause. The goal of the competition is to develop an AI app using MIT App Inventor that aligns with one of the competition’s tracks and demonstrates creativity, social impact, and technical understanding of AI. 

CONGRESSIONAL
APP CHALLENGE

The Congressional App Challenge is the most prestigious prize in student computer science. Participation in the challenge has grown exponentially and has reached underserved, diverse, and rural student populations.

WAICY 2024

Since 2018, the World Artificial Intelligence Competition for Youth has been inspiring students worldwide to learn and use AI to solve real-world problems. WAICY intends to bring AI to students worldwide to spark creative and practical demonstrations of the technology that can ultimately shape our future.

MIT SUMMER APPATHON

As the world grapples with the changes instigated by the COVID-19 pandemic, MIT App Inventor calls upon individuals to harness their creativity for positive change. Building on the momentum of their 2020-2022 Appathons, the organization is proud to announce the 2023 Summer Appathon. This competition invites participants to develop an App Inventor application that blends technical expertise, creative design, and significant impact to benefit communities or individuals in need.

APP OF THE SEASON

App of the Season is a free, virtual appathon hosted by the App Inventor Foundation that encourages dreamers, changemakers, and doers around the world to build mobile apps for a cause. The goal of the competition is to develop a mobile app using App Inventor that aligns with the competition theme of Community and best demonstrates technical skill, design, creativity, and impact. 

METROHACKS 2022

MetroHacks 2022 is the successor of MetroHacks, a beginner-friendly, 24-hour virtual hackathon with a focus on applying cutting-edge technology in real apps. Talented students from all across the world will be attending talks, workshops, and of course building incredible, world-changing technology for social good and innovative change. From web apps to mobile apps to trend analysis, you can develop whatever you want at MetroHacks!
